The float will start in Grafton at the Save the Tygart (STTWA) Property (39.319720, -80.025867) and end above the falls at Valley Falls State Park (39.386576, -80.085344). The float is beginning friendly, with most of the river being slow and deep, with short sections of riffles.

 

Paddlers can drop boats off at the STTWA Property Friday evening (5PM - 8PM) or Saturday morning (7AM - 8:30AM) at the STTWA Property. Overnight security will be provided Friday night. 

 

Save the Tygart will be providing a shuttle for paddlers from Valley Falls to Carr China Saturday morning BEFORE the float begins. That way all vehicles are at the take out and you are free to enjoy the river at your own pace. Shuttles will depart Valley Falls at 9:15 AM. 

 

The cost of the float is $12 per person.
